When Relationships Turn Toxic - Dayton HS Drama Club

The Annual Meeting audience was treated and inspired by a production written and acted - both funny and deadly serious - by students from Dayton High School about relationships and how they can become abusive. The format was an interview "Dr. Phil Show" with Lucy Van Pelt, Vernon Dursley, the Cat in the Hat, the Phantom, and Boris, a teenage abuser now in jail. In between each interview, photos and audio illustrated each abuse situation with real teens projected on a screen. After the presentation, the students and teachers engaged the audience in dialogue about how they came to work on this project and how they are sharing it with a wider audience.
