Davita McCallister has begun her Keynote - reminding all of us that we are magnificent creations of God. We need to hear this! And we need to share this with all our brothers and sisters. In this exact moment, she is asking all of us to make a commitment to DO SOMETHING.
Let's put this into practice. Let's make a big part of this something a renewed commitment to take that message that we are all magnificent creations of God to all our brothers and sisters inside and outside the church. The world needs this message. Lots of God's children have not heard it ...... and they won't hear it if we don't lift our voices. No more shyness, no more bashfulness, no more reluctance. There are tons of folks whose spirits are STARVING for an experience of the Divine lack that we know in the United Church of Christ. If we don't share the message, they won't hear it.
God gave all of us these gifts - it's time to use them to transform the world.
